K:
- is in a truck- obsession phase. Yesterday Pop bought her a toy trash truck (her favorite kind to spot on the road). She calls it her "trash truch" and loves to pick up pieces of paper with it and beep its horn.
- on that same topic, was thrilled to go to the town's "Touch- a- Truck" event this morning. She got to climb inside a loader, a dump truck, a plow, among many others.
- this week received her new playground from Nana and Pop. She loves the slide, swings, and rock climb best. When we attempt to assist her with any of it, she tells us: "Go away! Don't come! I'll dooooo it!!"
C:
- is recovering like a champ from yesterday's toe surgery. Our trooper did so well fasting for six hours beforehand, and has been unbothered by her little cast. She's taking meds every three hours and we are so proud of her bravery in the OR yesterday.
- loves reaching up for her monkey and giraffe on the playmat and pulling at them, using her super- strong grip.
- turned 4- months this week. Time, please stop speeding!

K:
- keeps talking about the beach and the "sam- cassews" she wants to make.
- has started pulling C's cheeks and telling her she's "cute! Cute!" Overall, she's gotten very affectionate with C; K loves to hug her and asks all the time "I hold her?"
- has told me her favorite food is chicken. This is not bad-- but it's dubious, as I thought for sure she would have told me chocolate or chocolate milk or cake-- none of which she's allowed to have often but all of which she is mildly obsessed with.
C:
- had her 4- month appointment. She is in the 55th percentile for height and the 40th for weight, measuring just over 24 inches and weighing 13 lbs, 10oz.
- is still struggling with her injured toe. Swelling and redness have subsided-- now we need that laceration to close up.
- went to a farm with Mom yesterday and enjoyed a fun tractor ride with other moms and kiddos from Moms' Club.

K:
- has figured out that Dad's other name is Joe, and at dinner time yells out, "Joe! The food's done!" Man, toddlers are like sponges!
- loves to feed, burp, change, bathe, and nap her many babies-- all of whom she claims bear the same name as her favorite little friend at day care.
- has begun asking for pasta for nearly every meal.
C:
- was at the doctor this week with a swollen and red toe-- turns out she likely had a hair or thread tourniquet. So sad! But she is unaffected, still happy as ever.
- is getting stronger and stronger when up on her chest and elbows.
- still has the cutest little squeal and shriek in the world.

K:
-had her first haircut today and did wonderfully. She was nervous and stern, but was made more calm by the Elmo DVD she got to pick out and watch. At the end, she got a ponytail, a lollipop, and a certificate documenting the big event. On an errand after, she loved to proclaim proudly, "My haircut!"
- has started to blame little sis for things. She told me that "Carly did" when I asked K if she went #2. And she subsequently said C was responsible for a snack mess.
- was pretending to cut her dolls' nails the other day, and repeatedly admonished them: "DON'T move!" I guess it's clear what I shout, er, ask politely, when I cut the girls' nails.
C:
- joined Mama for a trip to work and loved the gobs of attention she received. In the time we were there, she was a smile machine and didn't fuss a speck.
- is still waking nightly between 230 and 330 for a feeding, though Mom is wishing she would instead sleep through!
- loves grocery shopping-- the sights, the sounds-- she looks excited the whole time.
